Have you had a bad experience moving long distance? Did it feel like a scam or being taken advantage of? Have you been a victim of moving fraud or a bait & switch estimate? We want to know how it happened. In an effort to build a better transportation network and bring awareness to the FMCSA, the U.S. Moving Protection Organization (USMPO) is seeking feedback from interstate shippers of household goods. In recent years, there has been a growing number of complaints about long-distance moving, and the USMPO is collecting data that will make a difference.
Identifying the Bad Actors:
Although the USMPO does not have the authority to shut down fraudulent operations, we work closely with the authorities that do. The FMCSA is often too busy to regulate all movers, so we assist them in bringing awareness to these matters. Your feedback is crucial in identifying these bad actors and holding them accountable.
Recognizing the Patterns:
Why are these companies considered bad actors? Is it because they are brokers? Do they price too low? Have they only been in business for a short time? Do they lack necessary training? By identifying these problematic patterns, we can develop effective solutions to combat moving fraud and improve the industry.
Providing a Solution:
Reputation is what matters most to these companies. Writing a negative review on Google or the Better Business Bureau will surely get noticed. To take it further, you can use our platform to publish articles and rate moving companies based on your experience and the service you were provided. By doing so, you help others make informed decisions and contribute to a more transparent and trustworthy moving industry.
Your feedback plays a vital role in improving the moving experience for everyone. By sharing your experiences, you help us identify fraudulent practices and develop solutions to protect future movers. Join us in bringing awareness to the Federal Motor Carrier Administration and making a positive impact in the moving industry.
