Customer’s Story

I am submitting this complaint regarding my experience with ABC Moving Services LLC.

I hired this company to move my household goods from Dallas, TX to Orlando, FL under a written estimate that totaled $3,200. On the day of pickup, the movers loaded my belongings without any issues and assured me everything was covered under the agreed price.

However, when my items arrived at the destination, the company contacted me and stated that I must pay an additional $1,850 before delivery. They claimed my shipment weighed more than expected, even though no certified weight ticket was ever provided.

When I refused to pay the extra charges, the company withheld my household goods and stopped responding to my calls and emails. My belongings were held for several days, causing significant emotional distress and financial hardship.

I believe this practice constitutes hostage load behavior, which is illegal under federal moving regulations. To date, my items have still not been delivered, and I have not received proper documentation to justify the increased charges.

I am requesting assistance to help recover my belongings and resolve this matter fairly.
