To avoid multiple phone calls and unwarranted solicitations, review the following steps...

STEP 1: Connect and Discuss Available Resources

A USMPO coordinator will contact you shortly to go over the available resources to ensure a safe and reliable relocation. As a non-profit consumer protection organization, our service focuses on enhancing the safety of long distance moving by providing preventative measures to mitigate the risk of moving fraud, price hikes, bait & switch estimates,

STEP 2: Verify Accuracy of Quotes and Estimates

Your coordinator will verify the accuracy of your inventory and recommend for a physical survey if one has not been conducted. Your agent will also background check your mover’s complaint history and make sure they are an authorized carrier in good standing.

After your move size and estimates have been verified, it is your responsibility to review your contracts and make an informed decision. The U.S. Moving Protection Organization can also assist in receiving additional estimates from verified movers if needed.

STEP 3: Confirm your Reservation

Once you’ve made your decision, reserve directly with your mover. Its recommended to pay reservation deposits with a credit card. If your mover is within our verified network, they are held accountable to the accuracy of their estimates, and we monitor the performance of your move. The data we collect is used to enhance the operations and customer service of the carriers in our network and the safety of the moving industry as a whole.
